Roger Cook firms on WA gas for WA amidst global energy turmoil
With WA's days of cheap and abundant gas coming to a close, the chances of onshore gas being exported are shrinking fast.
ENGIE is a French energy company that is partnering with Yara to produce green hydrogen to feed into the Pilbara Fertilisers ammonia plant on the Burrup Peninsula near Karratha. It operates wind and solar farms, gas-fired power stations and grid-scale batteries and retails electricity in the eastern states. EPA: ENGI
WA will be home to two of the largest green hydrogen electrolysers in the world to feed an ammonia plant and inject the clean fuel into the South West gas grid.
